Mumbai Rains: Red Alert Issued As Downpour Predicted Today
The India Meteorological Department has predicted "heavy to very heavy" rains in Mumbai, including "extremely heavy" rain in isolated places, for Sunday. It has also issued a red alert for today in the view of expected heavy spells of rain in the state. Meanwhile, the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) is on alert and is prepared for the monsoon onslaught. It has asked citizens to be careful during the rain. "As per warning from IMD about extremely heavy rainfall on 28th July 2019 citizens to note and avoid venturing around sea. For any assistance please dial 1916 helpline," BMC wrote on Twitter.

Jaipal Reddy Dies At 77 In Hyderabad; Was Suffering With Pneumonia
Congress Senior leader and former Union Minister Shri Jaipal Reddy died early this morning at 1.28 am at Asian institute of Gastroenterology (AIG) hospital, Gachibowli, Hyderabad. He was 77. He was recently diagnosed with pneumonia and was admitted to the hospital. Reddy had been unwell for the last few days. He had been undergoing treatment at a hospital where he was in the ICU for the last one week. Reddy's funeral would take place in Hyderabad on Monday, the sources said.
