Ayodhya temple case: 21st day of the hearing
A five-judge Constitution Bench, headed by Chief Justice Ranjan Gogoi, is hearing the matter related to Ayodhya land dispute. After a mediation panel failed to resolve the issue, the Bench has been hearing the case on the daily basis since August 6. Today is the 21st day of the hearing on which advocate Rajiv Dhawan will continue to argue in the court. On the other hand, one will have to see if Ratul Puri will get bail today or not

Incessant rain puts life out of track in Gujarat, MP| Monsoon News
Heavy downpour caused water-logging on the multiple stretches in the city on Tuesday.Commuters were seen stuck due to vehicular traffic and pedestrian movement was also disrupted as the roads and pavements were flooded.A local told ANI: "It has been raining continuously since morning, causing traffic snarls in most parts of the city."According to the IMD's forecast, Gujarat is likely to receive light rainfall with the cloudy sky for the next week.

As per reports, a loss of Rs 9617 crore is faced by the government as teachers remain absent from their duty. During surprise checking, 30 percent of the teachers were found to be absent. Now, Uttar Pradesh teachers have to send their attendance via selfies. This has to be done thrice a day; once during assembly, then mid-day meal and when the school ends. But teachers do not like this rule. They selfies are their private matter. Watch the whole report here

Around 150 students in Haryana's Jhajjar have gone on hunger strike over lack of facilities.Notably, the college was barred by the Medical Council of India (MCI) and its successor Board of Governors in Supersession of MCI from taking in students in successive batches for 2017-2018 and 2018-2019 sessions. Additionally, the Board also denied grant of renewal of permission for the 2016 batch (HT has a copy of the Board’s order).

Former Hindu lawmaker from Prime Minister Imran Khans Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf party, Baldev Kumar, on Tuesday sought political asylum from New Delhi.He is staying with his wife Bhavana and two children in his in-laws house in Punjab's Khanna town for over a month."Minorities in Pakistan are not feeling secure and they have been denied rights. There is an increase in atrocities and target killings. I was put behind bars for two years," the former MLA from Barikot (reserved) seat in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Assembly told reporters in Khanna, some 100 km from the state capital here.He said he won't go back to Pakistan.
