US-Iran conflict escalates as rockets hit Iraq base hosting US troops again

Seven Katyusha rockets on Sunday hit the Balad airbase, which previously housed US troops, in Iraq's central province of Salahudin, wounding six Iraqi soldiers. The airbase is located some 90 km north of Baghdad. Besides the injuries, few buildings were damaged. Iran claimed that American troops were not their targets.

Hindu refugees want govt to begin CAA procedure in Delhi too

A newborn baby was named as Naagrikta as she was born on the day Citizenship Amendment Bill became an act. The baby was born in a Hindu refugee camp in Delhi's Majnu Ka Tila. The residents of the area demanded that the government should begin the process of CAA in Delhi too just like Uttar Pradesh government.

PM Modi reaches out to youth, tries to guide about CAA

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday, interacted with youths in Belur Math of Howrah and explained that the Citizenship Act or CAA is about giving rights and not about taking them away. "There are a lot of questions among the youth about the new citizenship law, and some are being misled by rumors around it... it is our duty to clear their doubts," the PM said. He said that the government is following the path shown by Mahatma Gandhi and the new citizenship law is facilitating those migrants facing persecution in other countries.
