Authorities in Andhra Pradesh on Thursday announced closure of Tirumala's famous Balaji temple for devotees as part of the precautionary measures to contain spread of Covid-19. At some mosques, the management committees and volunteers provided hand sanitizers to the worshippers but people are still going to mosques in large numbers. On Sunday, PM Modi had urged people to remain inside their houses under a self-imposed curfew.

The total number of Coronavirus cases in West Bengal has been rose to three after a case reporte today. The total number of coronavirus rose to 236 after a record number of cases were reported from the various parts of the country. India also witnessed its fourth coronavirus casualty. India decided to not allow any international commercial passenger aircraft to land during 22-29 March. The central government also urged all states to issue directives to ensure that citizens above 65 years of age remain at home.

The Corona virus has started to affect the tourism business. The famous restaurants where people had to wait for hours to sit, which was always packed with tourists, no one other than the staff could be seen. While the tourism industry will be hit hard due to the absence of foreign tourists, domestic tourists are hesitating too. The coronavirus pandemic could deal a crippling blow to the Indian travel and tourism industry, especially with the government suspending all visas.

Mumbai: No passenger trains during 'janata curfew'
A circular addressed to all zonal railways said: "Keeping in view the fact that the demand for rail travel will be vastly reduced during the janata curfew between 7 am and 9 pm on Sunday, zonal railways are hereby advised to regulate services. All passenger trains originating between March 21-22 midnight to 10 pm on March 22 shall not run. However, passenger train already on the go at 7 am on that day will be allowed to reach their destinations."
