Assembly Elections Results 2021 Coverage Non-Stop on ABP News, updates on Intense political tussle

As per PTI, there will be 2,364 counting halls as compared to 1,002 halls in 2016 in 822 assembly constituencies, a more than 200 percent increase, in view of the COVID guidelines, according to the Election Commission which had drawn flak from the courts over the conduct of polls during the pandemic. At least 15 rounds of sanitisation will be carried out at each polling centre, besides social distancing and other precautions, including a ban on gatherings, will be strictly followed, officials said. They said counting of votes will begin at 8 AM and continue late into the night. As many as 1,100 counting observers will watch the process and candidates and agents will have to produce a negative COVID test report or double dose of vaccination certificate to get an entry.

Reality is different from UP govt 'counting day' guidelines

In view of the surging cases of Covid-19 infections in Uttar Pradesh, the UP Teachers' Federation and workers' organisations have refused to be present during vote counting for the panchayat elections. The State Election Commissioner has been sent a letter as an ultimatum by the UP Teachers' Federation to postpone the counting of votes otherwise teachers and staff will boycott it. After this decision by the employees, there is trouble brewing over the counting of votes. The Covid-19 protocols will be strictly followed during counting of votes at the district headquarters. On behalf of the State Election Commission, all District Magistrates have been instructed to strictly follow the 13-point guidelines for the counting of votes.

Bharuch Covid hospital fire mishap: Death toll rises to 15

As per the latest update, the death toll in the Bharuch Covid centre fire mishap has risen to 15. The fire first broke out in the ICU ward of the hospital whch later spread to the other parts. The other patients have been shifted to the nearby hospitals. Watch this news report to know more about it.

Khabardar: हमेशा के लिए निशब्द हो गए Rohit Sardana, दुनिया छोड़ चले गए सबसे दूर

Bharuch: Massive fire in Covid hospital kills 12; other patients shifted to nearby hospitals

A major accident has taken place at covid Care Center located in Bharuch district of Gujarat. A fierce fire broke out in the Covid Center late at night. Due to the fire, 12 people have died here. The incident of fire is being reported around 12:30 pm. Immediately after the fire, the patients admitted here were shifted to the nearest hospital.
