Pollution Menace: AQI reaches 732 at India Gate
The Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB) AQI reading for the past 24 hours at 4 p.m. on Saturday showed that Delhi was no more in the 'severe' category as values had dropped to 399, taking it to 'very poor' category. On Saturday, the PM 2.5 count at 9 a.m. has halved at 208, according to US Embassy data.The values were in the 'severe plus' category for the past five days, leading the Environment Pollution (Prevention and Control) Authority (EPCA) to declare a public health emergency in the national capital on Friday.
