Why is Mahakaleshwar temple open for darshan even during solar eclipse?
In Ujjain, all the temples have been shut down for bhakts as today is the last solar eclipse of the decade. But only Mahakaleshwar temple is open for the people. This is because sun is a part of Mahakaal as per scriptures and an eclipse would not affect it. This is why today also the Bhasma aarti was performed inside the temple premises
