Were Bangladeshi refugees in WB given Indian IDs for votes? | Ghanti Bajao
In today's report of Ghanti Bajao, we take a look at two sections of refugees from Bangladesh- the ones living in West Bengal and the ones living in Uttar Pradesh. In our ground reality check, we found that the ones in West Bengal have been provided all kinds of Indian Identity Cards, be it Voter ID or Aadhaar Card but the ones living in Uttar Pradesh do not have any of it. The question arises, how come refugees were given Indian IDs? Were the IDs provided for strengthening votebank ?
