Survey of India officials made hostage by Bardhaman residents

West Bengal: In Bardhaman, people were enraged when Survey of India officials were taking pictures in a locality. Officers were taken hostage by the residents. The villagers alleged that Survey of India officials were taking photographs of the mosque ad they did not even have the necessary permission for this. Later, senior officials intervened and explained to the villagers, then the hostage workers were released.
