Saryu embankments collapse, flood danger looms large over Gonda villages
The Saryu river has been overflowing due to downpour in Uttar Pradesh. On Thursday, many embankments of the river collapsed after the swollen river kept battering the piers time and again. The incident took place near Gonda villages and now all the residents are worried as the water may enter their housesOne of the villager told that the residents were asked by the administration to refrain from making the piers stronger.
